From time to time, heavenly ascended masters and their emissaries show up on planet Earth. Who are the ascended masters? They minister to a particular community, race, or area of the world to rekindle a truth flame for human self-realization. That truth flame is that I and you are made in the image of God. He is our Creator and that of the universe.
The heavenly ascended master Jesus had a short 3-year span to establish the influence of his teaching, mainly through his close disciples, who kept his message flowing. His education spread from his well-indoctrinated apostles and succession of sincere followers.
Ascended Masters And The Kriya Yoga Path
This pattern of message transmission began earlier in history. Heavenly ascended masters Bhagavan Khrisna, Gautama Buddha, Swami Skankara, Sri Chitanya spread their truth flame of self-realization through their followers. Maha Avatar Babaji gave the world Kriya Yoga through Lahiri Mahasya.
Lahiri Mahasaya spread the science of Heavenly Father contact by means of Kriya Yoga science with its techniques of consistent meditation to his audience. That science of God’s realization using the path of Kriya Yoga began to slowly spread.
Consequently, this practice doesn’t ask anyone to follow any dogma or belief, instead, by the practice of proven techniques of Kriya Yoga, the realization of the eternal question of Truth is answered. That question is, “Who am I,” and is resolved so oneness with God can be established as His son or daughter. The purpose of life is to know who we are and we have that chance by following this practice.
Our heavenly Father, Mother, and Friend reaches out to souls through the practice of God’s communication. Daily communication morning and night or more is that beginning.
In today’s world, we witness lots of Christian sects and church buildings. For the most part, that focus can be called Churchianity. Few are there who are really in touch with Christ and His Christ Consciousness through deep prayer and meditation.
Curing Ignorance By Gaining Knowledge
“For the disease of ignorance, the only cure is knowledge,” said Yogananda. “The fundamental cure for all human ills everywhere, one and the same, is to raise one’s consciousness.”
In this cosmic movie, facing life’s tests is a daily challenge. Accordingly, Yogananda says, “Nothing is greater than Cosmic Consciousness or God. His power far surpasses the human mind. Attain the state of Self-realization and the purpose of your life will be gloriously fulfilled.”
He wrote this poem: “Thou are walking through my feet, wielding my arms of activity, throbbing in my heart, flowing through my breath and weaving thoughts in my brain. It is Thy meteoric will that courses daily through the skies of my human will.
Let me feel it is Thou that hast become I. Oh, make me Thyself, that I behold the little bubble of me, floating in Thee”
In order to reveal an accurate translation of the New Testament for the times we live in now, Paramahansa Yogananda opened the curtain. The nearly 2,000-page “The Second Coming” is a commentary, sentence by sentence, on the New Testament, King James Authorized Version (Authorized Version of 1611).
Paramahamsa Yogananda Now An Ascended Master
Yogananda breaks through the walls of theology as well as intellectual barriers to help us perceive God more directly. Misinterpretations and misunderstandings are lifted away by reading the messages that Jesus gave to a less-advanced age of civilization. Consequently, this need is fulfilled by Yogananda’s translation.
Sooner or later, after meditations and tuning in with Cosmic God Consciousness, you’ll want to leave Earthly Schoolhouse. You’ll have enough wisdom to say, as Yogananda said, “I am done, I am through with all of this. I want to talk to You alone. I know You are all I really own. You will be with me when everything else is gone.”

Heavenly Ascended Masters Lead Us So Intuition Can Speak To Action
Here on Earth, as puppets of destiny, seeking happiness in marriage, money, careers, alcohol, pot, and such, just doesn’t fill our cup for happiness. Our intuition in knowing what we honestly want is lacking. What is needed is a guru, a heavenly ascended master.
Therefore, the more unselfish one is, the more likely one will think about God and try to be in touch with that intuitional cosmic reality. On the flip side, the more one works occupied with desires, the more that soul happiness recedes. Thoughts of God and living up to higher standards bring greater happiness than groveling in the mud of desires.
Human desires are the targets of marketers, politicians, and internet scammers. Not only are those desires vulnerable on the grid but off-grid. Overcoming desires can be an obstacle to realizing one’s ultimate purpose. That purpose is finding our way back to God.
However, we do have tasks to perform along the way. With willpower and initiative following, utilizing a great master’s teaching, and living healthy, the light at the end of the tunnel can become a reality.
Shutting off the 5 senses with deeper and deeper concentration, more of the inner world opens up. Gradually, conception converts to perception. If you want to know your Creator, practice Yoga; that’s all you have to do.
That’s what the first seekers did to find Him; shutting off monkey minds. But, as you all know, shutting off the squirrel’s mind isn’t easy. As I mentioned earlier, our Creator sent an ascended master to us in this astrological age to make the task of finding Him easier and more scientific: Kriya Yoga as taught by Yogananda and his organization SRF.
